Helping the Survivors of the Holocaust
The Jewish Federations who give support for Israel, aid in right of way for those who survived the Holocaust. This assists them living more pleasantly in their homes. There's in the U.S about 100,000 survivors of the Holocaust. There are one in four living in poverty and one quarter who's eighty-five or older. That association is exposed for declining health, social isolation. There’s also issues connecting with institutionalization, that start's up distressing memories of experiences from the war.
There's a scope of Conference and local agencies along with an aging population. With that said, the Jewish Federations are predicating more requests for services. Healthcare and transportation are examples. In support for Israel and the Holocaust survivors, JFNA commenced the Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care in 2015. This was to move up transformations in services person-centered, trauma-informed for survivors of the Holocaust. The program that’s funded federally gives grants to organizations close, assisting survivors of the Holocaust. Essentially, other adults who are older that have been influenced by trauma. The Jewish Federations in addition exceeded the fundraising campaign of $45 million helping communities having their needs met and giving to federal program needed match's.
Gifts
Gifts ranging from $18-$500 can pay for different things to give support for Israel in helping the survivors of the Holocaust. Eighteen dollars pays for nutrition, yoga or falls prevention classes. A social excursion can be paid for with thirty-six dollars. One hundred dollars buys an evaluation of home safety. Information groups and caregiver support can be bought for $360.
